Service Description: Operates an emergency shelter and support services for abused women and their children

  • Operates crisis housing for women leaving an abusive situation
  • Provides a 24-hour crisis line
  • Provides crisis transportation and transportation between facilities
  • Offers individual counselling and referral to residents
  • Assists women and children with primary health needs through weekly visits from a Nurse Practitioner

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
    • Women 16 years of age and their children must be directly leaving an abusive situation; women and children who have already left the abusive situation are not eligible

    • Abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, physiological, financial or spiritual abuse

    • Accommodates male children up to the age of 15
