Service Description:
  • Addresses public health issues and promotes healthy living
  • Administers health promotion and disease prevention programs within the Kenora and Rainy River Districts


    • Provides education, information and services to reduce incidence, spread and complications of infectious diseases
    Administers the following programs and services:
    • Infectious Diseases
    • Harm Reduction Program
    • Sexual Health
    • Vaccine Preventable Diseases
    Cancer Detection
    • Hosts educational sessions on breast health, cervical cancer and prostate and testicular cancer
    • Promotes early detection of cancer
    Partners with the following programs:
    • Ontario Breast Screening Program, Northwest Region
    • Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)
    • Ontario Cervical Screening Program
    • Rainy River District Breast Health Network
    • Ontario Breast Screening Advisory Committee
