Service Description: Operates a 75-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services

  • Provides methadone treatment for opiate addiction withdrawal
  • Offers residential stabilization up to 7 days for initial treatment if required; coordinated with Morningstar Centre Withdrawal Management detoxification facility
  • Offers opiate withdrawal support
  • Provides comprehensive medical assessment
  • Provides psychosocial assessment
  • Offers multidisciplinary treatment planning
  • Provides counselling, support and case management
  • Provides referral services
  • Provides on-going treatment

    Application:
    • Intake assessment required

    • Complete physical examination and full complement of bloodwork required

    • Must be in good physical health

    • Clearance into program may take up to 2 months
    Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
    • Individuals 20 years of age and older

    • Must be physically dependent on at least one form of opiate (such as heroin, codeine, morphine, oxycontin)

    • Must have tried other possible treatments and have been unsuccessful
