Service Description:	Addresses public health issues and promotes healthy living Administers health promotion and disease prevention programs within the Kenora and Rainy River Districts Supports and coordinates programs and services that enhance healthy nutrition and lifestyles Where to Get Food in our Region Provides an updated list of where food is available in the region Nutritious Food Basket Partners with grocery stores to determine the cost of feeding a family with healthy and nutritious foods Uses results to advocate for better income levels, affordable housing and quality child care Provides information and referrals to food-related programs including: Christmas hampers Community kitchens and gardens Cooking and nutrition classes Food banks Grocery and restaurant vouchers Meals on Wheels programs Milk programs Also administers: Student Nutrition Program
