Service Description:	Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation Independent First Nation (not part of a Tribal Council) Political Territorial Organization: Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN) Treaty #9 Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires Maintains the Fire Hall and equipment Provides the following services: Education Emergency planning Fire investigation Fire suppression Hazardous materials information Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped (and annually inspected) with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
