| Service Description: |
By reducing barriers to service, safety, support and hope offered to underserved women living in the rural communities of north Dufferin. Decrease identified obstacles to service (i.e. transportation, isolation, child care, and access to after-hours service), develops a crisis response strategy for responding to rural needs, and increases collaboration, presence and awareness across existing services and community members Counsellors can meet with women in the community. Provides women with abuse education, safety planning and appropriate community referrals. |
