Service Description:	Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the McDowell Lake First Nation Tribal Council: Keewaytinook Okimakanak/Northern Chiefs Political Territorial Organization: Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN) Treaty #9 Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes Provides case management and screening services Provides basic foot care services Works to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes Assists individuals in finding appropriate services Provides referrals to other health care professionals
