Service Description: Counselling, Family programs, Adult educational workshops (sliding fee scale available)

Counselling, education, and support programs for individuals, couples, children, youth and families affected directly or indirectly by addiction, substance use, problem gambling or other forms of addictive behaviour * See the website for full workshop and program calendars
  • Education and support to individuals who have been impacted by addictions either directly or indirectly* Requires a phone intake interview to determine suitability for "circle of care" model of short-term counselling, educational workshops and family programs 
  • Strengthening Families for the Future: An interactive 10-week program which provides families with skills to enhance their communication and improve their relationships * offers valuable weekly tools covering communication skills, peer pressure, anger, and expectations
  • Parenting: Beginning Alcohol and Addiction/Basic Education Studies (B.A.B.E.S.): evidence-based prevention program that uses storytelling techniques and puppets to teach young children the skills they need to cope with peer pressure and difficult situations * covers substance use and addictions from an age-appropriate perspective * Parents are required to attend and participate in a parent’s group
Fees: Programs/Workshops: Sliding fee scale which enables everyone to access services equally

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals experiencing problems either directly or indirectly from addictions or addictive behaviours and mental health issues
