Service Description: Operates three residential treatment centres for First Nations people with polysubstance use and mental health challenges
  1. Ka Na Chi Hih Healing Lodge
  2. Wakenagun Youth Healing Lodge
  3. Pelican High Peak Family Healing Lodge


  • Operates a culturally-focused voluntary residential treatment program for Indigenous families who struggle with polysubstance use and/or mental health challenges
  • Program includes Pre-Treatment, Intake, Residential Stay and Aftercare Services
  • Duration of residential stay is 3 weeks
  • Provides a holistic program using both traditional and contemporary models of treatment to help individuals deal from their substance use and mental health challenges

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Potential clients must:

    • Be an Indigenous Family

    • Be medically stable

    • Be substance-free for at least 2 weeks prior to admission

    • Not use the program as an alternative to incarceration or probation

    • Have a voluntary commitment to the healing process

    • Be willing to participate in a traditional/spiritual approach to the healing process

    • Not exhibit a progressive history of violent behaviour
