Transportation services for people receiving cancer treatments Volunteer Driver Program - Volunteer drivers provide transportation for patients to and from treatment appointments at designated hospitals and cancer centers * referral for the service must be received by the Cancer Society from a member of the hospital treatment team to access the program Travel Treatment Fund - Offers short-term financial assistance to offset some costs of traveling to cancer treatments Air Daffodil (Northern Ontario) - Offers assistance through the Northern Health Travel Grant (NHTG) program * arranges flights, buses, taxi voucher or volunteer drivers to people requiring more then 100 kms to travel to an appointment |
