| Service Description: |
A Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services licensed Children's Residence that provides "Out of Home Care" in a residential setting. Provides programming that provides assessment, stabilization, and therapeutic interventions for adolescent males with problematic sexual behaviour between the ages of 12 and 18. Treatment is based on the fundamental view that individual success can be achieved through specialized programming that addresses the young person’s developmental needs, cognitive level, and style of learning. Has adopted a holistic approach to the treatment of adolescents with sexually problematic behaviours. Offers a combination of individual, group, and family therapy along with specialized academic programming and skills training. Adheres to the regulations of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act of the province of Ontario and is licensed by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. Our program is highly monitored and staff secure. Treatment model provides for community safety in a homelike environment. Funding for a placement must be secured through resources such as the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Children’s Aid Societies, other Social Service agencies or independent funding sources. |
